funny story

Ian and Claire are very different. Ian is very realistic and Claire lives in her own make believe world. Ian and Claire have there moments when they are the best of friends and so sweet to each other, but they definitely don't see the world in the same way. Ian plays at our house a lot and most of the time there is at least one time that Ian and Claire "disagree"

The other day Claire was in one of her moods and the kids had all built forts in my basement. Claire went down there and decided to just knock down Leland and Evelyn's-for no reason. Ian looks at her and says...

Ian: "Claire that's not very nice"
Claire: "If you say one more word to me I am going to knock yours down too"

Well that shut Ian up! Poor kid doesn't know what to do with such meanness.

WHAT am I going to do with that girl, HELP!!!!

The worst part is that she has her Uncle Andrew(Ian's Dad) and her Daddy completely wrapped around her little finger and she knows it!!! I think this might be part of the problem.

SIGH!!!!!!!!

Halloween

This year for Halloween we had the annual neighborhood Halloween Extravaganza, including tons of games and activities for the kids, a haunted house, and our house had the hot chocolate and wassail. We also had a yummy chocolate fountain. The only down part was the RAIN!!!! it poured for part of the night and so the trick or treating wasn't the best. I mostly stayed in our garage with Ruby and greeted all our neighbors. It was fun to see everyone, but I really do wish it hadn't rained. I guess there is always next year.
My PRINCESS, DOROTHY, and SKELETON :)
The kids had so much fun even in the rain!!!
Chocolate YUM!!!
My cute little bunny!!!
The kids always want me to dress up so i was a kitty cat...MEOW!!!

Evelyn's Field Trip

Evelyn had a field trip with her class and I was so happy to get to go with them. They went to the Tabernacle in SLC and had a tour of the organ and watched an organ concert,
it was a great day!!!

SNOW?!!

October 27th
It snowed in OCTOBER, that's all I am going to say!!!

Fall Break

October 15-18th
We had such great weekend with the Bonnette's at their Cabin in the beautiful mountains of UT!! It is so nice to have such great friends and that all of our kids get along so well.
The cabin was so beautiful and the setting was breath-taking!!!!!
Beautiful Fall colors

The kids had so much fun eating hot dogs and roasting marshmallows by the fire.
Ruby LOVED her first smores!!!!

I love this picture. Evelyn and Zac get along so well and had such a great time. It was so cute to see Ruby just chilling next to her big sister.
On one of our 4-wheeler rides we saw a herd of sheep, the kids had never seen anything like it. Very cool!
We all went up into the mountains to shoot guns, we all had a turn and the boys loved it. I shot one time and it was SO loud I literally almost fell over, I couldn't get out of there fast enough. I mostly hung out with the kids in the truck.
Coleman had a BLAST!!!!!! he and Eric, his best friend, rode the 4-wheeler all day everyday. Seriously they were on it most of the time. All the roads were dirt and not busy at all and they had the time of their lives. They thought they were the BOMB!!!
All the kids loved it!!!
The big kids were really good about giving the little ones rides, which was nice.
These kids had so much fun together, what a blessing great friends are!!!!

We loved spending so much time as a family!!!

Playing catch up

It has been a while since I posted and wanted to catch up on what we have been up to, more to come soon!

Cupcake Heaven

Our wonderful neighbors the Steele's brought us come cupcakes one Sunday and Ruby LOVED it!! She made quite a mess of herself, but she could NOT have been any happier.
Look at that face!!!
"Don't you even think of taking this cupcake from me"
Oh me!!!
YUMMY!!!!

iPad

Ruby loves the iPad and my iPhone. It amazes me at how good she is at opening it and finding the games she wants to play. One of her favorites is Peak-a-boo barn and this spelling game. She has also just learned how to go to the iPod app and open up the videos and find her Dora show and the Max and Ruby show. It really is pretty crazy how good she is on this thing.
LOVE my little high tech baby!!!

Mom and Daughter party

Leland is on her first year of dance team and they had a little party for the Moms and girls on the team. It was a super fun night and it was so fun to see Leland bonding with the girls on her team. She is such a social little girl and had an absolute BLAST!!!
They had a really fun craft of making tye-dye with sharpie markers. Leland did a pillow case and had so much fun. Then they did ice cream sundaes and it was a little nuts how much stuff was on this thing...chocolate chips, bananas, sprinkles, gum-balls, and TONS of whip cream. I was kinda nerves she was going to be sick, but honestly this girl can hold her sweets!!!
There are 7 girls on her team, but only 4 could come and we hope to do it again and everyone will be able to come. These girls had so much fun and I loved getting to know the dance moms.
I love it when I get to spend one on one time with my kids, it was a great night!!!!

I LOVE THESE PICTURES!!!!!!

Lemonade Stand

Ian and Leland have been DIEING to have a lemonade stand so because I am the greatest Mom ever I let them. The best part is they actually sold a bunch of it!!! After all the neighborhood kids bought lemonade I had a brilliant idea: sell all the candy corn and dom -doms I have stashed in the house. The kids loved the idea and I was able to unload a ridiculous amount of sugar from my home. YEAH!!!

It is fun to watch my kids get to do things I NEVER got to do as a child, because if I had a lemonade stand as a kid the ONLY person that was going to buy it was my Mom and Dad. I grew up in the middle of nowhere and had very few neighbors, so it is fun that my kids have so many great kids to play and hang out with right on our street :)

Playing in the Park

This past week we went to the park after school had a picnic and goofed off with Owen and Ian. The weather in Ut has been amazing lately and we are taking in the outdoors as much as possible!!
This picture shows just how full of life my little Leland is, she is 1 big ball of energy!!!
At one point I had to show Ian just how much I love him by tickling him till her screamed!!! Ian and Leland are having a great time being in the same Kindergarten class, and we love our play dates after school.
Ruby was so excited about playing in the park!! :):):)
Ruby loves to give Owen hugs and kisses. He likes her, but I think sometimes he just wants his space. lol
