I honestly feel like I have lost a week of my life!!! I started feeling sick while I was at Stacies, and by the time I was on my plane coming home it was not good. I am sure the people sitting close to me were ticked off to see me sitting there with my neck pillow, eye mask, and blanket all shivering and coughing my gross germs everywhere...I am so sorry to anyone on my flight who got swine flu due to me!!! I managed to make it through the day and then Brian went out of town the next morning and it just wasn't a good day at all. I was running a fever all day, but I just had to keep going and by the time he got home on Wed. night I was laying in bed with a 103 fever and begging him to put me out of my misery. I went to the Dr. on Thurs. and it was official I had the Swine flu, or as the doc liked to call it H1N1, how PC of him!! I came straight home and went to bed and Brian called his travel agent and got his Mom a ticket on a plane for the next day. Brenda offered to come and I am so glad she did, with no Mom to take care of everyone my house was falling apart!!! So I laid in my bed and moaned and slept and slept and moaned for the rest of the week. By Friday night Claire had a fever of 102.6 and we got her on Tamiflu and the next morning Leland had a fever of 103 and we got her on Tamiflu. Brian started a fever Saturday night and he got on Tamiflu the next day as did Brenda in the hopes that she wouldn't get the flu at all. Well she did get a very low fever and a little body aches, but all in all she avoided the worst of it. (I really would have felt like crap if she had come out here to help my family and ended up with the flu as well). Anyway Leland, Claire, Brian and I stayed upstairs and as far away from the rest of them as possible, but Sunday night Evelyn started a fever, I mean for the love, and by the next day she was miserable and got on Tamiflu. I was feeling pretty good by Monday and was able to help Brenda with all the sickly's. The amazing thing is Coleman and Ruby never got it and are still heathy, knock on wood!!! It has been a very long week!!! During this process I had 3 friends bring me dinner and 1 friend brought me some of the best pumpkin bars, I really felt loved. I have some of the best friends and neighbors around. I guess that is one blessing that came from this is I got to see how blessed I am to have these women in my life.
I am grateful for all the prayers that were said on our behalf, I know they were answered- things could have been a lot worse!
Here are sweet little Leland and Claire passed out in my bed :(:(
The other part of this that really stinks is I won't be able to run my 1/2 marathon this weekend, I still have a bad cough and it would probably just do me in...so sad!!! :(

Your family could have used Tamiflu on an IV drip!
your family has been thur it!!! sooooo glad everyone is okay and feeling good! love y'all
We had it too, but our dr wouldn't give tamiflu to anyone, but the baby--and she threw it up! It made me so mad. You guys are lucky--not really!!! My 5 year old almost ended up at the hospital-- 105.5 fever, vomiting, secondary infection. It is a rough virus. I am glad you are all better.
