This weekend we went for a picnic and hike in American Fork Canyon. The kids had so much fun being in the great outdoors.

We tried to get Coleman to swim across the stream, but he's no dummy. He waded in the water instead., of course the girls had to take their socks and shoes off and step in the water too. It was really really cold as Leland put it.
Leland with her walking stick. I love a good walking stick, it reminds me of my childhood. When I was a little girl living in the big city of Saluda,N.C. (LOL) we would go on walks and my Dad would always find me and my sister our own walking stick. I love that memory and couldn't resist passing it on to my kids.
Last but not least here is Daisy having a blast in the water.

a good ole walking stick is the best! I can't believe that your kids are wearing light jackets, I'm burning up down here, I think that it's hotter in sept. than it was in August!
Looks like fun times in the woods. Funny how Boys & Dogs always find water?!? Looks somewhat like Mills River. Great to see the kids having fun as always.
