Florida Trip

Evelyn and I were so excited to be able to go to Florida for Miles's birthday and Baptism. It was so fun for Evelyn to have Miles all to herself , and a very special experience for her to see him get baptized. They love each other so much and I know they will be friends for life.
This is the Webkinz that Evelyn gave Miles for his birthday.
Happy Birthday!!!!
I felt so blessed to be able to share in Miles's special day. He asked me to sing and it was a honor. I love this little man to death!!!

Our brother Edwin got to come and the kids loved it!! He helped Miles with his trains and played baby with Shelbie. Coral was even smitten with him and loved his cowboy boots. It was so fun to hang out and catch up. ( Edwin, sorry if we wore you out!! You did seem to catch a few cat naps here and there :) )

BFF

We arrived in Florida yesterday and these 2 haven't left each others side. They have been playing outside and with their Webkinz all day. I love that they have each other and get along so well. Evelyn has been so excited about coming to see Miles and getting to be at his baptism. I am so blessed to have such a good husband who can hold the fort down(with a lot of help from Aleksi) while I am gone. I am looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend with my sister and all her family!!

PS. Evelyn is a JOY to travel with and I will happily take her anywhere by herself. She was so cute and sweet. Every time she saw a baby she would say that she missed Ruby-so sweet! She was so happy to get her own water bottle and had a TV of her own to watch a movie. Traveling alone with Mom is awesome!!!

I am loving my alone time with my first little girl!!

Puzzles

Coleman has been doing a Media Fast with his 6th grade class at school. No TV, No Computer, No texting, No Video Games. So Coleman and I have been trying to find things to keep us busy. Puzzles have become a new favorite!!! This is the first one we finished. 550 pieces and we are both pretty proud of it!!! Coleman thinks it looks like a picture of Yellowstone. :)

The bear was so hard, we were so happy when it was done!! When we had finally finished the whole thing, Ruby went to the dining room table and pulled half of it off the table and it went crashing to the floor. I was able to salvage a little of it, but Coleman and I had to work overtime to fix it!! Ruby was ordered to never touch a puzzle again. :)

1st Haircut!!!

BIG GIRL
Today Ruby had her first haircut, where did my baby go??? She was so cute I couldn't believe it!!! They had to wash her hair because she had sucker in it and she was so cute putting her head back into the sink I almost died!! I wish I had gotten a picture of her but I was to busy praising her and laughing at how cute she was I forgot. Honestly she was adorable!!! All I wanted was to get a little bit cut off the back to make it like a little bob. I am very happy with how it turned out.
She liked that she could see herself in the mirror.
She was so good I couldn't believe it!!
I think she was pretty proud of herself.
My baby girl is growing up!!!

Brittany turns 30

Feb.4th 2010
Brittany's birthday celebration
I am the best sister-n-law EVER, no seriously I am!!! Brittany has been very stressed about turning 30 and so i decided to make it a super fun night for her so it wouldn't be quite so bad. I am just awesome that way!!! The evening started with Brittany and Aleksi(our awesome cousin) picking me up at 3:30ish. Aleksi and I had fun evening planned for Brittany and she knew NOTHING. It was so fun to SURPRISE her!!!! We first went to a amazing Spa and got pedicures, I made the mistake of wearing skinny jeans, which was NOT easy to pull up over my calf. :( Then we did a little shopping at a great mall and for the best part we had SUSHI!!! I had asked Brittany earlier in the week what kind of food she wanted, her husband and son were happy to suggest Golden Coral or Cracker Barrel. I know you are thinking those are excellent choices, but I am very grateful she went another route. (BTW I would rather starve then eat at Golden Coral). I picked this great restaurant called The Naked Fish, the food was so amazing and we had so much fun laughing and talking, we stayed till they basically kicked us out. It was such a fun night and I enjoyed the female bonding. I also surprised Brittany with tickets to see RENT this summer with me!!! YEAH!!!! She and I LOVE plays and have seen some of our favorite together, so I can't wait!!! Maybe we will have to do Sushi that night as well :)
Our beautiful toes!!! Brittany in Black crackle, Aleksi in Gold sparkles, and me in Teal!!! I love pretty toenails (bc everyone knows I don't have the prettiest feet -it's very true)
Enjoying 1 of many courses, we definitely had our fill that night.
Look how beautiful, it was so delicious!!!
I love these ladies!!!
Happy Birthday Brittany!!! 30 ROCKS!!!
I told her to enjoying this little spoiling, because next year she is getting a card.

Up to no good!!

Ruby is such a handful lately. She loves to get into stuff and I constantly find myself cleaning up her messes. This was her activity this morning....dumping a half full bag of Life cereal on the floor. She then proceeded to clean it up only to dump the whole thing out again. I try not to let this stuff bother me bc I know she will be grown in no time, but it does bother me!!! Sigh!!!

Snack tray. aka lunch

I make this magical thing called a snack tray, the reason it is so magical is because no matter what I put on it the kids eat it They get so excited when I say they can watch a movie and have a snack tray. Ian was dying to come over today( hopefully his flu shot worked and he doesn't catch what Claire has, I did warn his mother. So not my fault). I told them they had to sit and watch a movie and no running around. If they can actually do this it will be a miracle, if they can't Ian gets to go home. So wish them luck, for now they are so content with their fancy lunch they are doing exactly what they are suppose to be doing!! Maybe next time you want to be "fancy" make a snack tray :):)

Sick days

Claire has had the flu and croup for a week now and she is getting very close with all her stuffed animals. Today Ruby and Claire had a animal picnic, they had so much fun deciding where each animal should go and Claire was definitely in charge. I have had a lot of quality time with my little Claire Bear this week and I have enjoyed it!! I do hope she gets to feeling better soon because as she says "being sick feels like you really sick" another thing she has said to me a lot this week is "you are the bestest mommy to me and you really love me". I am hoping she will be fever free very soon until then she has me and her animals to keep her company :):)
