Claire is 4 and it's her PARTY!!!

June 16th

Claire was so excited to have a party with her friends!! We had it at Kangaroo Zoo and everyone had a BLAST!! Sometimes it is hard to believe my little princess is already 4, it's just crazy to me!!!! I loved watching her run and run with all her friends, thanks to them she had a great day!

The day before the party the kids cousin Ian (and his family-of course) moved to Utah and we couldn't be more excited to have them here!!! Unforunately half way through the party Ian start feeling bad and while waiting for his Mommy Evelyn and him had a nice little chat :)

This is Claire, Liddy and Bethany. We didn't know Bethany at all! LOL! but I guess she just wanted to hang with the party and these two had a blast with her. They pretended to be dogs, cats, and babies and definitely kept me laughing!!!

She LOVES:

-music and singing

-dancing and is now on a dance team at her dance studio

-playing with her sisters

-trying to get out of chores or doing chores (it depends on the day)

-she is very strong willed and full of personality

-is very LOUD and talks all the time-especially in the car

-loves to "help" Ruby

-LOVES primary (LDS sunday school for little kids) and her teachers

-gives the BEST hugs, it is almost like she is trying to climb inside of you LOL!!

-very protective of her sisters

-has a great laugh and cute cheeks

-LOVES books

-princess and barbie

-Favorite shows are Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! and Dora

-and most importantly she is mine and I LOVE her, my life wouldn't be the same without her!!!!

Memere and Papa's House

Memere threw her a little birthday party, she was so happy with her birthday gifts- every princess needs Belle and Sleeping Beauty

She helped Memere with the cake, she is a very good helper in the kitchen!!!

Memere was a awesome host, she read Claire books, played candy land, and basically spent every moment making Claire happy!!! I think she spoiled her a little, but that's what Memere's are for, right?

Claire loved hanging out with her Papa, she was his little buddy!!! They played together and he made her laugh a lot!!! Claire LOVES to laugh!!!

Quality Time

June 8th

Today was Claire's special day to go to Raleigh NC with her Daddy and go stay with her Memere and Papa. She was so excited that it was finally her turn, all the older kids have had a turn to go on a trip to NC with Brian and she was beaming!!!

We gave her a few birthday gifts before she left including a pillow pet from her Mama and Big Daddy and as you can see she was VERY happy!!!

PURE JOY!!!

I will have to say I was kind of looking forward to having a break from my little chatter box. It was crazy how much quieter my house was without her here. We missed her like crazy and I couldn't wait to have her ask me 100 questions and sing me all her favorite songs.

Movie Night

Evelyn and Leland have been hanging out together all week because Claire has been at her Memere and Papa's house in NC. Saturday night they wanted to have a movie night so I took them to Walmart and let them pick out a couple movies and get a few treats. They were so excited and I am so happy they had a good time together. They both fell asleep on the couch and I had to capture the moment.

Dancing Duo

Leland and Claire had their dance recital last night and it was so good. They have been taking for few years now and I am starting to see some real talent. They were so cute on stage and I was just so proud of them!!! As we sat down Brian leaned over to me and asked if he could play a game on my phone? Seriously? To say he doesn't enjoy this stuff would be an understatement, but he did beam when he saw his girls. It was the other 28 performances he had a hard time with!!!lol! I on the other hand LOVE this stuff and many of the dances were really good. It was a fun night and the girls were so happy. Both girls wanted to do company this next year and they both made a company so I think we have many more recitals in our future, sorry Brian. They will be dancing A LOT!!!!

Baseball Queen

Today was Evelyn's last baseball game of the season, it was her first year of machine pitch and she really learned a lot. She was the only girl on her team and I think she liked it that way.lol. The whole season I have watched almost every game from my car due to cold windy weather, I was so happy that today it was beautiful outside! I wanted to get some pictures of her before the game and she almost lost it, like I was totally embarrassing her, so I had to get all action shots. All the kids had a great time today watching Evelyn's game and trying to beat the heat. Brian had to miss the game due to his MBA class, although he has seen a lot of her games this season- so that is good!!!

Who wants a picnic lunch?

May 24th

Claire and Ruby love their time together while everyone else is in school. Claire is trying to introduce her to Barbie movies and said they needed to have picnic while they watched one of her favorites "Barbie and the Diamond Castle." Ruby loved being with her sister and you could just tell she thought she was hot stuff not eating in his highchair. She did eat a little, but she lasted about 10 minutes on the movie and tried to eat Claire's puffs and that's when the fun ended. Apparently Claire didn't want to share those AT ALL! LOL! Anyway this was just a reminder that Ruby is growing up no matter how BAD I BEG her not to!!! :(:(

"Trying" to SAVE money?!

May 20th

For many many months I have been begging Brian to get Tank neutered. I said I would happily take him to our vet and do it, but he didn't want to pay 350.00$. So he found a "clinic" that would do it for 75.00$-BIG savings, right? So he took him bright and early in the morning and we picked him up at 2:30pm. He was very drugged, but seemed fine. By the next morning I wasn't so sure he was doing very good so I took him back to the "clinic" and they said he was fine just a little swollen and bruised due to the trauma during surgery. What? Trauma? Then they told me that during his surgery his testicular artery burst and they had to do some repair work. GREAT! so they said for us to watch him and he should be okay.

By Sunday night his leg was completely swollen and I just knew this wasn't good. So off to the vet(our REAL vet, no more clinics for Tank). So basically the short and long of it is that he has a bleeding disorder(very likely in Dobermans, which we did not know) and 3 puss pockets full of infection-one of which was blocking blood supply to his leg. So 5 days after the first surgery he had his 2nd surgery to have all the infection drained leaving him a large open wound that would need to heal from the inside out. After 3 days in the vet hospital he finally came home to his loving family and he is now doing much much better. Through this whole thing Coleman was very worried and broke into tears several different times. His heart is BIG for his dogs!!! Honestly we were all a little worried and i guess we all realized how much we love him. Now having said that the grand total was over 1200.00$, do we love him that much? I guess so because we paid it!!! So I was just asking Brian the other day at what part of his plan did we "SAVE" money? Yeah that's what I thought! I am always right and we should have done it my way!!!

The day after his 1st surgery Coleman got him all cosy before he left for school and sadly he was still just like that when he got home from school. I am just so glad he didn't die because Coleman would have needed some therapy.

Notice how swollen is one leg is and it got worse then that before it got better. So sad! Crazy enough he still found a way to get up and annoy Daisy! LOL!

Preschool Programs

May 20th

It always amazes me how fast a school year goes by and this year broke the record!!

SERIOUSLY where did it go? It was so fun watching Leland and Claire grow and learn at preschool this year, they had great teachers and I just know Leland is going to kill it in Kindergarten next year. They sang there little hearts out in their programs and I could be any prouder of them!!!
